Skullcandy Headphone Final Submission

Skullcandy Headphone Contest

There is one thing that I learned while doing this contest...that is, no matter how many ideas you have, if you don't have even one of those ideas as a solid finished product in the end then having all the ideas in the beginning do little good.

There were several steps in the brainstorming process and thumbnail sketches so I'm only posting the sketch right now that will be used for the final contest piece.I had come up with three groups to design for: oriental, elemental, melting pot. I have sketches for each category, but they are not yet implemented in design. The sketches posted display the contest piece I decided to work with, which would have gone in the melting pot category. The melting pot was going to c0nsist of the few designs that didn't fit in the other two subjects.

Portfolio Site In The Making

Here is my portfolio site in the making. There are still a few tweeks I'd like to make, but this is pretty much going to be the final design. This should be up and running by the end of the semester, about two more weeks...eek (-_-;

Oktoberfest: Halloween Design

Here's the Halloween Design contest piece I submitted for SIGGRAPH's Oktoberfest. It's the first of three in the series I'd like to create.

Thursday, April 2, 2009

This piece was inspired during my time in Japan and has special meaning behind it. Eventually I would like to have this printed as a t-shirt and/or poster and then one day silk screen the design myself. The old piece will be up soon so the process of what it was to what it is now can be seen.

Promotion Packet: Business Card

From re-editing the logo and layout the business cards were the hardest part of the promotion packet process. There were several critiques and all of them have been very helpful. I'm happy with the results, but any more feedback would be appreciated.

Promo Packet: Letter Head, with text

Letter head with text. Lorem Ipsum-ed it. (^_^)

Promo Packet: Letter Head

Coming up with a composition that looked connected and flowed together was the biggest struggle for the letter head. The text on the image is hard to read due to compression, but 12pt font was used on this 8.5X11 layout.

Promo Packet: Envelopes

These colored envelopes will be used on special occasions due to print cost, but to make production cheaper black and white prints will be used on a regular basis.

Dimensions:
Envelope: 162mmX114
Stamp: 19mmX22mm

Promo Packet: Promotion Item

These buttons are designed to give employers after an interview or to hand out while networking; and to the general public. Each image is a unique entity from the business card and logo is separated onto individual buttons. Comments and critiques are welcome with open arms.
